UF Health has opened its latest healthcare facility at the renowned World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
This new 10,000-square-foot centre marks a significant expansion in the provision of UF Health's high-quality medical services, tailored for residents and visitors of Marion County. The new facility features advanced medical amenities, including eight exam rooms, two procedure rooms, a retail pharmacy, and X-ray imaging, promising comprehensive care to the community.

Dr. Steve Motew, president and system CEO of the UF Health clinical enterprise, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.

Key Features and Services
The UF Health Pharmacy at the World Equestrian Center began operations in July, providing a wide array of services, including prescriptions, immunizations, vitamins, first-aid supplies, and over-the-counter medications. This service aims to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community, including families and pets.
The UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the World Equestrian Center is set to open on August 12, offering specialized care for hand and upper extremity injuries, pediatric orthopaedic conditions, and more. Following shortly, the UF Health Walk-in Urgent Care at the World Equestrian Center will open on August 15, providing immediate care for minor illnesses and injuries.
Brice Carpenter, representing the World Equestrian Center, highlighted the significance of this collaboration.

Dr. C. Parker Gibbs Jr., chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the UF College of Medicine, noted the importance of this new facility in enhancing access to top-rated academic-based orthopaedics.

The Walk-in Urgent Care service will ensure that immediate healthcare needs, such as minor illnesses and injuries, are promptly addressed, enhancing the overall well-being of the Marion County community.
