The revolving cheeks on this low-ported Weymouth bit allows the rider independent control over the left and right sides of the horses mouth. The Curb Bit shanks measure 7 cm long, and the mouthpiece 12 mm thick. The Bradoon has a slightly thicker 15 mm mouthpiece, and the Stainless Steel Rings measure 55 mm. As is the proper way to fit a double bit set, the Bradoon is slightly wider than the Curb Bit for the most comfortable combination. The size of the bit is determined by the measurement between the rings on the Bradoon, and between the shanks on the Curb. The thickness is measured as the diameter of the mouthpiece at the connection to the ring or shank.
